The Situation

A Mumbai-based nutraceuticals startup with FSSAI-certified products approached Ecomm11 with ₹6 lakh monthly Amazon revenue and a clear ambition: reach ₹20 lakh/month within a year. They had 6 SKUs — protein powders, immunity boosters, and multivitamins — all with verified ingredient sourcing, but no cohesive marketplace strategy.

The supplement category on Amazon India is fiercely competitive — dominated by brands with 5,000+ reviews and premium A+ Content. The founder knew they needed professional help to punch above their weight class.

The Challenge

  • Competing against established brands with 10–50x more reviews and bigger ad budgets
  • FSSAI compliance and health claims required careful listing language — prior listings had flagged policy issues

What Ecomm11 Did

Phase 1: Compliance & Content (Months 1–3)

We started by auditing all listings for FSSAI compliance — correcting health claims to Amazon’s permitted language guidelines. All 6 listings were fully rewritten with optimized titles, clinical benefit-led bullet points, and FSSAI certification callouts. A premium Brand Store was built with an educational “Why Choose Us” section that increased trust and dwell time. Premium lifestyle imagery showing the product in context (gym, kitchen, morning routine) was recommended and sourced.

Phase 2: Subscribe & Save + Repeat Purchase (Months 2–4)

We enrolled all eligible products in Amazon’s Subscribe & Save program and created a post-purchase email sequence (via Amazon’s Brand Follow and Manage Your Customer Engagement). Repeat customer rate grew from 11% to 34% — a critical metric in the supplement category where lifetime value drives profitability.

Phase 3: Multi-Marketplace Expansion (Months 4–8)

Once Amazon was optimised, we launched on Flipkart Health+ and Blinkit (quick commerce). Each platform required separate catalogue formatting, pricing strategy, and compliance checks. Blinkit turned out to be a high-velocity channel for the immunity booster SKU — quick commerce customers had high purchase intent and strong repeat order behavior. Within 4 months of launch, Flipkart and Blinkit combined contributed 35% of total revenue.

Phase 4: New SKU Launches (Months 8–12)

Using competitor gap analysis and Amazon search data, we identified 5 underserved sub-niches in the supplement space where the brand could launch with high chance of early ranking. The brand formulated 4 new products based on our research. We managed the full launch sequence — from pre-launch inventory planning and listing creation to launch PPC campaigns and Vine enrollment.
