Blinkit seller onboarding and account management

We get brands listed on Blinkit and then run the account: registration and KYC first, then catalogue, inwarding, availability and settlements every week. Onboarding is a fixed package from ₹4,500. Swiggy Instamart is covered on the same terms.

Who this is for

FMCG, grocery, beauty, baby products, stationery and household essentials do best on quick commerce. Customers buy these often and reorder. If your product is bulky, slow-moving or needs explaining before purchase, a dark store is not the right shelf for it, and we will say so before you pay for onboarding.

Two situations we see most:

  • You are not on Blinkit yet and want the account opened and the first products live. The onboarding package below covers that.
  • You are live but availability, inwarding or settlements are taking more of your week than sales are. Ongoing account management covers that.

What Blinkit onboarding includes

The Blinkit seller onboarding package is ₹4,500, paid 100% in advance, one-time. It covers onboarding only; no account management or ads are included.

DeliverableWhat we do
Seller account registrationCheck eligibility and business requirements, submit KYC documents and GST details, register the brand or store under the correct category.
Initial catalogue uploadUpload your first products with basic details, mapped to the right categories and formatted to Blinkit standards. The product count is confirmed when you enquire.
Go-live supportFollow up with Blinkit support on onboarding status where needed, then a final review and confirmation that the account is live.

You provide the documents, product details, pricing and images. Account verification on Blinkit typically takes another 3 to 7 days after submission, based on what our onboarding duration guide has seen; complete documents avoid the most common delay. The list is in documents required for Blinkit seller registration.

What ongoing account management includes

Ongoing management is a monthly service, priced per package after we confirm scope. Ad spend is not included. It covers:

  • Catalogue optimisation: listings built to quick-commerce image guidelines, weight specifications and category mapping.
  • SKU selection for dark stores: not every product works on quick commerce; we identify the SKUs with the best chance and drop the rest from the plan.
  • Inventory planning: quick commerce needs near-perfect stock availability, so we plan inwarding and reorder points against the delivery commitment.
  • Pricing and promotions: platform-specific pricing and Blinkit deal events for sales spikes.
  • Performance monitoring: daily availability rate, order fill rate, account health warnings and platform relationship management.
  • Advertising: PPC campaigns with bid management and cost control, billed on top of the platform ad budget.
  • Reports: sales performance and competitor insights, plus settlement checks so what Blinkit pays matches what was delivered.

Fees to plan for

Blinkit deducts commission, fulfilment, storage and inwarding charges from each settlement. In our Blinkit commission calculator the commission slab depends on the selling price: 2% up to ₹500, 6% up to ₹700, 13% up to ₹900, 16% up to ₹1,200 and 18% above that, with inwarding at ₹7.50 per unit and fulfilment at ₹25 per unit. Rates change by category and campaign, so treat the calculator as an estimate and check your rate card. Settlements run on a weekly cycle, usually 7 to 10 days after delivery, as covered in when and how Blinkit pays sellers.

Since 1 September 2025 Blinkit buys inventory from sellers and sells it as the merchant of record, which means one GST registration instead of an APOB in every state. Our note on the Blinkit seller model shift explains what that changed for stock transfers and compliance.

Swiggy Instamart

We onboard sellers on Swiggy Instamart with the same steps: seller registration, compliance documentation and catalogue setup, then promotional event management once you are live. Instamart onboarding is a one-time setup fee, priced per package; ask for a quote with both platforms if you want to launch on Blinkit and Instamart together.

How it works

  1. Enquire through the quote form or WhatsApp with your category and rough SKU count.
  2. We confirm the scope and send an invoice.
  3. You pay the advance (100% for the fixed-price onboarding package).
  4. Work starts: we collect documents and product data, submit the registration and upload the catalogue.

Frequently asked questions

Which brands should sell on Blinkit or Instamart?

FMCG, grocery, beauty, baby products, stationery and household essentials perform best. Quick commerce customers have high purchase intent and reorder often.

Do we need a warehouse near every city?

No. The platforms run their own dark stores. You supply stock to their nearest fulfilment centre and we coordinate the inwarding.

Is quick commerce profitable for sellers?

Margins are tighter than on Amazon because commission, fulfilment, storage and inwarding are all deducted, but order velocity and repeat purchases are higher. Run your numbers through the commission calculator before you list.

What does onboarding cost?

₹4,500, paid in full before work starts. It covers registration, KYC and GST submission and the first catalogue upload. Ongoing management and ads are separate.

How long does onboarding take?

Document submission is done as soon as we have your files. Blinkit's own verification of business and bank details typically takes another 3 to 7 days.
